Handplants Not Registering

Since the new update, It's near impossible to pull off any kind of handplant on ramps that I was able to do with ease.

Any one else suffering from this problem as well?  I'm on PC via EA app (Windows 10 Pro) and using an 8bitdo Ultimate 2 Wireless controller.  Everything fully updated in terms of drivers and firmware.

    Well this is weird.  I disconnected from the game and reconnected and now it's working again.  Bug?

    The right bumper interactions for doing plants seem to be hit or miss still.  I can't pinpoint what the actual issue is.  Speed?  Angle of attack?  Transition details?
