I just started having this problem this weekend. The past 3 crates that I have purchased and opened didn't give me credits for duplicates. I did get the 50 credits though that was in one my crates. I am on a PS4

Ali Hassoon, a producer at DICE, confirmed that an update is to be released today. It's supposed to address game server performance, matchmaking and more. Perhaps we'll get a fix for our credit issues? I won't be able to try it until I get home from work.
Let's hope that the update will be released today and there's a fix for this game braking issue.

- Anonymous8 years agoIn responce to the post of the "Terms of Usage".
The "acceptace" of EA's Warranty and EULA are illegal. You are obviously not a legally competent person or attorney. Because the info ans terms of their product is post sale, meaning that you didn't have full legal disclosure. It's basicly just a legal statement to keep people from trying to sue by keeping the reader thinking they can't. But, you still can. You just need to be able to explain how the warranty, Terms, a EULA were not full disclosure and/or an illegal acceptance of them, since once you bought the product you were then given EA's Contract. Then that EA does not then grant legal remedy of your non-acceptance, by giving you a FULL REFUND if you choose to not agree. Leaving you no other option to agree or just be out the money. Making the whole thing illegal as it then is EXTORTION after the fact, and makes the game a SCAM.
The rules of UCC (universal commercial code) aka business law is complex. But, trust me EA knows this.
EA does everything they can to be unethical while trying to look ethical. But, the LAW REQUIRES that there is always REMEDY. EA is just trying to brainwash you into thinking they gave it to you. And, like Maury would say... The lie detector test test proves that was a lie!
I brought this up with Battlefield 4. Which I was unable to play for the first week or so. When I called EA I asked if I could get a full refund. Then said only I BOUGHT IT FROM EA's WEBSITES DIRECTORY. I then explained that I could not take it back to Gamestop and get full price because it was open and the disk was not defective. So EA said they would lose money to offer me a full refund because they didn't get all the money for the purchase, because a portion was earned by Gamestop. Which is EA's fact and not my problem. It's the dost of doing business and the choice of EA to sell thru 2rd party.
They then did want to continue the discussion and began working hard on fixing the issue of why I could get online. Which was fixed in about 30 minutes. - Anonymous8 years ago

- Anonymous8 years agoGood news but it would be for matchmaking umless specifically mentioning that they have fix error for duplicate starcard then we would rather not expect
So suprising that they don't seriously care of this. We having this are only vitims. - Anonymous8 years agoThe only reason I'm so very frustrated is because the cost of gameing now is so high the 60 pounds ii played for the game could have fed my family for a week.now buying a product of worth like this one would expect that it works and if an error or defect is present that some simple correspondence would be greatly appreciated at times it feels like I gave a whole load of cash to a bloke in a shed

No specific mention of our issue and from the looks of it, it was exactly what the dev tweet was. Matchmaking/lag/connectivity issues. I'm glad they released it but still doesn't address the duplicate credits.

- Anonymous8 years agoI'm speechless no fix for an issue we need fixed all good and well to fix match making but what's the #%,&,#ing point when it costs twice the amount of time to progress for a currency game issue

@vadergoth So far the only "fix" is completely starting over with a new xbox live and EA account. SADLY it works. Yes completely starting over just with this single effing game. All with a complete and utter lost of 70 days playing history, a lost of 70 days of accomplishments, a loss of 70 days of ranks for everything, a loss of 70 days opening crates and obtaining star cards, a complete and utter loss of all abilities, weapons, cards, ranks, accomplishments, etc, but yet the "duplicate" credit bug no longer exists.
So far 7 days in, no issues. - Anonymous8 years agoI can't bring myself to start over now. I'll keep saving up my credits in hopes that they will fix it, but if it doesn't happen soon, I'll probably just move on and start playing something else because this whole issue is pretty rediculous.
- Anonymous8 years agoMy internet isn't so good took me 24 hrs to download the game the 1st time to wipe my data and start the whole thing all over again is not an option for me unless it is the only way to fix it if so I would expect to be heavily compensated for the past 70 days as I have worked my butt off
The update was a hot fix, server side. Not a patch. They did release some info on the progression system, reworked coming in March. I think this is why we have not seen our fix yet, I hope I’m wrong. See the link below;

Another day and still no answer on a horrendously game hindering bug. I tried to give the benefit of the doubt, but silence which, by this point, can only be interpreted as apathy, has finally broken my spirit. How far in debt are they to me now? 50k? 60? How far in debt are they to all of you? It is impossible to believe that this crushing of a bug made it past beta without being discovered. So, it can only be assumed that it was deemed acceptable at launch secure in the knowledge that people would just buy more crates with real world money and perhaps this bug could benefit the companies bottom line. This game was created as an EA cash grab, a too blatant one as the fall in stock prices clear showed, but once the purchasing was removed, then this bug became crippling to progression. And yet here we all wait, met only with resounding silence.
I didnt want want to be this way. I didn't want to be forced to speak about the greed of a corporation, or the utter disregard for a loyal player base. I simply wanted to be treated with respect. But day after day I am shown that I am not respected.
I am shown silence.
A mea culpa is long long overdue for this game. But only a fool would ever believe that one will come. This will be the last EA game I buy.
I will be a fool no longer.

This is no gurantee. I have 46 epics and mostly blues. Standard digital and the duplicate credit bug just started happening to me Tuesday.

At this point I'm going to take my complaint to the BBB, and social media. As well as a couple phone calls to Disney. Sadly, my sisters dad is a Disney big wig... So maybe at least I can get EA's Disney license pulled to get Disney to get EA's off their lazy back sides.
And, shorting will I will start thinking about a class action suit.
I guess we should have expected this from the worst company in the world two years running!!! Past couple of days have been nice, no duplicate in my daily crate so nothing to verify the ongoing bug with. Today was more frustration though, another duplicate in the daily, another day without getting credit for the duplicate. I think @Vision1138 is correct, the bug is spreading, so there must be a specific set of circumstances that trigger it? It doesn't seem to be a "day one" issue for most people. Everything is functioning correctly, then *something* changes. I'm sure it's hard for the devs to pinpoint exactly what that *something* is, especially if there could be multiple catalysts. But as @EA_David has pointed out, they have extensive logs. My guess is that there are multiple reasons why this is happening and they have to do extensive testing on each fix to make sure it doesn't have a trickle down effect and damage other aspects of game play. Either that or they don't care and will never fix it. I doubt that they don't care but it would be nice to get some communication on this issue so we know where they're at with it.

Although I understand that this bug may go deep into the architecture of the game and thus is pretty difficult to fix, the communication is dismal. There is nothing wrong about bugs, problems, even not always met timelines every once in a while but the total lack of feedback and communication is not in the best interest of anyone involved in this. Obviously the problem is spread over different boxes, different versions of the game and there are still circumstances that this bug hits even new players.
So I assume it is just a matter of time that some bigger media outlets will look into this to report about it and I guess that will be the only critical mass at this time to get a reply of any sort (just pointed a few to this thread).
Sad to say, but apparently EA has not yet learned anything from the loot crate disaster in terms of communication and PR... :-(
- Anonymous8 years agoI too have the huge trooper lvls but had this issue for a longtime I can't help but wonder if we ourselves caused the problem by having them change the pay to play mechanic they obviously built the game around . and the lack of compassion or care for our issue feels like punishment for implementing this change . I hate to say it but perhaps going to Disney with complaints and even PlayStation \xbox market places could also be informed they are selling faulty products might get some attention but there will always be fall out when things get ugly
