Rid the game of hackers and cheaters

Dear EA and DICE,

For over a year now, the “Galactic Assault” mode has been unplayable — every single match is filled with hackers. Recently, I’ve started noticing that hackers have made their way into “Supremacy” mode as well, one of the last playable experiences in the game. It’s heartbreaking, because we’re talking about a game we truly love.

While Battlefront II had a rough launch, it later got a second wind and showed great potential. We have already come to terms with the fact that official support for Battlefront II has ended.

But what are people paying for when they buy the game today? To launch it and be greeted by “Error 721”? And then enter the main multiplayer modes — “Galactic Assault” and “Supremacy” — only to find hacked servers or cheaters ruining the match? This is unacceptable. The game is, sadly, dying.

No “KYBER” server can replace the experience of the original vanilla multiplayer.

Our only request — rid the game of hackers and cheaters. Bring back the ability to play Battlefront II the way it was meant to be played.

Sincerely,
The Community of Dedicated Star Wars Battlefront II Players

  • I support this. Mind you, I can't even get into the game anymore because I'm taken back to home when I sign in with my Xbox account

  • the source of the hackers is also in plain sight everyone can download and use those hacks easy 1 patch would fix this drastically since the guy doing this isnt hiding it and sharing his hacks its 1 guy no more take him down and hacking is over

In addition to those modes, HvV is a cesspool of toxic cheaters that escalate to threats and bigotry when called out.  I have also found Co-Op to be populated with damage-hackers teleporting all over the map in the past few days.

It would seem at this point the cheaters are clowning on EA.  Seems like punching down to me.

Commenting to add support to this to get DICE's attention.

As I've stated in a many threads that have been allowed to be buried by whatever community manager is in charge here, Dice/EA is extremely aware of the issue and have been actively encouraging it through a combination of inaction and active efforts in colliusion with individuals from "Kyber" and the modding community.

Just keep watching PC Gamer and Kotaku.  I'm only an intern, but the people I work with are determined to "name and shame" the EA employees that have taken proactive measures to protect a handful of people involved in this.  Ask yourself why it is that any thread providing proof of cheating is immediately closed but the same people refuse to respond to questions - even from the media - concerning the fact that this game is unplayable due to cheaters while being sold on Steam for over $30.

We intend to "name and shame" those specific employees.  They made a choice to back the bad guys and should have to explain their choices.
