    Press the Windows key and select settings

    Go into Time and language, select region and language on the left

    Click additional date, time & regional settings

    Under region click the link for change date, time and number formats

    Click additional settings at the bottom

    Click either reset , or ensure . is decimal symbol and , is digit grouping symbol

    Want currency to display as $ 1,000.00 there is an issue/bug if system currency displays as 1.000,00

    Can you mention what antivirus and firewall you use and provide a dxdiag per this link

    Also remove any compatibility modes applied to the game shortcut, launcher.exe or swtor.exe

  • I'm using Win 10 and using it's firewall and antivirus. I had tried deadctivating both. Now i downloaded avast and am reinstalling SWTOR. When i am finished i will try not using the compatibility mode againd and reply.

    Just to be sure can you add swtor.exe found at C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\BioWare\Star Wars-The Old Republic\swtor\retailclient to the exception lists as well.

    and just to be sure this isnt a setting issue can you try setting the client_setting file per below

    Press the [Windows] Key + [R] at the same time

    Copy the following in to the text box and press ok

    %localappdata%\swtor\swtor\settings

    Open the client_settings.ini file in notepad and ensure the following are displayed within

    Fullscreen = false
    D3DFullScreen = false
    RefreshRate = 60

    Check NativeHeight, NativeWidth, Height and Width ( all 4 ) match your monitor resolution.

    Save and close the file.
    Start the game as normal.

  • Maybe you may be onto something here. There is no "D3DFullScreen" setiing. Is this normal?

    D3DFullScreen = false

    can be safely added below the fullscreen line

    also can you change WindowY=23 to WindowY= 0 just to be sure

    If you want you can call in so we can try some tech troubleshooting over the phone, basically to kick you from the server just as you're connecting to it, which should bring you past the loading screen and into the server selection (hopefully).

    Worked temporarily. Having the same issue again. Now it is worse because i only have these programs installed and no windows update. I don't understand why it would stop without any alteration.
    I was playing and got kicked from the server, after trying to connect to the server again, with no success, i closed the game and when i oppened i got the loading screen problem again

  • Here
    I just checked and the launcher is on my "netstat -n -p tcp -b" as estabilished  connection, the "swtor" starts as estabilished, but after soem time it just vanishes completely from my connections

  • Now i know what is the problem something is cutting off the swtor connection, but i don't know what

    It looks like your running double nat , i am unsure if that could be the cause of this issue or not, worth checking

    Do you know the devices that have the following IPs

    192.168.0.1  is this a router ?

    10.0.0.1 is this a modem ?

  • 10.0.0.1 one repeater, 192.168.0.1 is the other repeater connected to the pc.

    @KazRafiki

    Are you able to bypass both repeaters and connect online without them just to determine they aren't causing the issue?  If on a laptop are you able to directly connect to the modem to test?

    @KazRafiki

    Repeaters should generally be given static IPs from the same range just not ones assigned by DHCP. it appears you are running 2 separate networks on the repeaters. it can cause nat issues occasionally

    Example setup is at this link

    Bypassing and connecting hardwired direct to the modem as belgorad mentions will at least indicate if this issue is related or not.

  • What drastic solution? That's ridiculous. Shame on the production team working on this game for not having fixed it so many years now.

    If all other games old and new, and all other software works, there is something wrong with the game.

    It should be fixed, and not having people downgrade their machines. What a pile of rubbish.

    @MortenSallas

    If you have something that will help the OP by all means happy for you to assist, otherwise make a post in the discussion section if you have something you want to discuss

    If you are experiencing an issue with the game make your own thread.

  • I gave up, just came back to inform all of you that were so helpfull that i could not make it work and lost all the drive to play SWTOR again.
    Thak you all!

  • @proxos666I am talking on behalf of the frustrated players, and payers of this game (I am one of them) while the production team has obviously failed to fix at least a couple of crucial long standing problems. This is one of the two.  All other glitches and bugs withstanding, above all, people who paid for this game, should at least be able to play the game. Start it even.

    On whose behalf are you responding to me?

    Are you from the team?

    Are you  one of us who suffer from the specific issue years now?

    Or something else?
