AI bonus or bug?

I've come to realize that dodge is either broken or rigged in ships. I can't play a single battle without seeing any ship dodge at least once. If it's Tie Fighter, forget it. I've had an AI Tie Fighter dodge me 6 times in a row.

Meanwhile, I can't get any dodges, not even on my own Tie Fighter. I can go for several battles without him dodging. Today I had evasion up and he still didn't dodge. That's 50% evasion.

I don't mean to rant, but something is not right here, and I think everyone knows it. When I'm losing to people with worse lineups than me with an AI that can't use half of it's abilities, I can't help but wonder if an AI bonus truly does exist.

    you are on the same fleet leaderboard as i am, you're ranking way too high imo ;)

    He's on my normal leaderboard.

    I hit 13 once but normally float around 100-40.

    same for me, except i didn't get all the way up to #13 :p
    i'm not very active in the fleet arena, i'm just trying to stay top100 with the occasional top50 finish.

    Yeah.
    Funnilly enough, it may be the RNG itself. In a class we make a simple FF-style text battle game that is literally just RNG, but in 3 years, the AI has an 100% win rate. That's at least 6 groups coming through, 15-20 or so people per, so in some 100+ programs and multiple plays, has literally never lost once. Either that, or the one day was a fluke and the ones running the lab lied.

    At least you weren't on vacation when ships were released so you weren't 1000+ with no chance...
