I agree something needs to be done.

Sudden death mode come back to the same problem. Don't attack at all, go into a draw kill 1 toon and done. You could simply set up the one kill you need for after the timeout and win without actually winning....

There are some threads out there about this, unfortunately all the "solutions" seem to open up other exploits....not sure we can trust them to close all the loop holes in a change like this...
