The whole thing with his bonus damage to deathmark is more for Darth Revan. It's only obvious that Darth Revan will have a mark of somekind (Deathmark most likely). Just look at Revan and reverse what he does, that is probably what Darth Revan will do. So start farming all the Dark Side OR characters now so you are not shocked when he is released.
