I assume you are talking about Ordo’s unique. Yes, he does have this boost against taunting enemies, but you are forgetting a few things about him and his kit:
a) Ordo is a character designed to take down tanks. I’m pretty sure in the late-game meta there are many characters who are tanks but don’t have a Taunt Ability. Therefore, to boost Ordo’s damage the devs introduced Marked and Deathmarked for him to allow Ordo to dismantle all enemies, not just the taunters.
b) I’m pretty sure Deathmark does not have a Taunt mechanic. The description is: Whenever this unit takes damage from an enemy, deal bonus damage equal to 50% Max Health.
c) The theory is less about the Marked and Taunt abilities, but the fact that Forever 21 Bastila and Ordo both have uniques that are boosted by Deathmark. The only Deathmark players can use comes from Death Trooper, who has neither Sith nor OR synergy and only inflicts DM at a point where you’re likely winning (one enemy defeated).
d) Even with the HK-47 rework possibly just adding Deathmark, adding these 3 toons would only synergies under an OR leadership and BSF’s unique kicks in with a Sith leader, pointing to an OR/Sith leader.
Unless you are just explaining Ordo’s unique, in which case my thumbs hurt.
Just wanted to point out that Death Mark does indeed have a ‘taunt mechanic’ (that is what makes Chex Mix and it’s variants work in the Sith Triumvirate Raid, you counterattack a Death Marked Traya instead of the Lightsabers while in stand alone).
In-game text (viewable by tapping the debuff above a character) for the debuff is,
“Deathmark: Targeted by enemies, takes extra damage when attacked, can’t Revive, is removed if unit gains Stealth.”
