Dodge Since the Update

Okay, I hate to be "one of those guys", but I play this game enough that when something changes it jumps out at me and pokes me in the eye. Repeatedly.

I've never seen so many dodges against non-dodge leads as I have since the update went live. Before the update, the Biggs assist always guaranteed 3 hits. I can't remember ever seeing a dodge. Since the update, I'm seeing dodges regularly.

This is in both arena and GW, so across the board. Is it just me, or has something really changed?

  • I don't see the change, "AI" always dodges way more than should be possible. It's nothing new.

However in Arena I faced omegaed IG88 lead with 214 speed Sid with omegaed demoralizing blows. Sid started with AoE and placed 5 dots on everyone. That's cool, as his potency was as high as 2.71%. Figured I should try it again, next time he landed them on four of my guys, with one guy getting only 1 dot.

My lowest tenacity was in 30's, Lando had 65. Made no difference.

So whatever you see your opponent do you cannot trust the numbers, with "AI" the numbers don't really matter.
  • Playing Arena and GW and haven't noticed anything today.

It did seeeem like everyone was dodging me yesterday in GW but who the c rap really knows?

I run Lando lead with 88 and those two seem to get dodged more than just about anyone (aside from QGJ and Rey of course).

However @Rumpelstilzchen I have noticed that some toons seem to be naturally less accurate than others. All nightsisters and even Ahsoka miss constantly compared to a lot of other toons. As I alluded to earlier, QGJ and Rey miss constantly too. I put a 4dot accuracy mod on QG and he still whiffs more than average.

Have you noticed any toons being naturally accurate?

Lumi seems pretty accurate unless she is attacking Sid (though I don't use her much anymore). Lando's basic seems to hit pretty much every time as well (though doesn't crit as often as I'd like).

For some toons it makes sense. Rey is described as a "risky" attacker but for toons like 86 and 88, it doesn't seem like they should miss as much as they do.

    ... I'm rambling...
  • It has been obvious to me for a long time that high damage attacks have a higher chance to miss or be dodged, whatever the case. Both Reys specials, FOTP special, 88, and others get dodged at a higher rate. The Devs would probably never admit it but I'm convinced it's written into the code that certain attacks have a higher chance to miss.

I do not run Biggs much so I can't speak on him but it's very possible that the Devs could have decreased the accuracy on his assist because it's such a powerful attack.
