Final thoughts on Military Might: Empire Assaulted Event
As in life, there is always the GOOD, the BAD and the UGLY.
The GOOD: First off, I'd like to thank @CG_CapGaSP for a TREMENDOUS event, It was as tough, if not tougher than you said it was going to be. Also, Vader shards were linked to Tier 1, so that was an AWESOME thing. You didn't have to complete Tier 2 to get them nor did it offer any Vader shards. The 1.15 million credits was a great addition. I got 2.3 million for doing the two tiers for the first time and 150k thereafter for tier 1. Rewards were in line 100% for completion, not to mention more Shard Shop fodder.
There's a great Tier 1 strategy guide. The thing was to try to dust the Magmatroopers first since their AOE blows up your turn meter. Using the special event ability as much as possible was a great idea as well. Now, with that said, the Tier 1 strategy put together actually sort of works for tier 2, and that's using Han's taunt in the second stage. It doesn't ALWAYS work, but after a few times of running that strategy I was able to complete Tier 2 at 2* losing St Han right at the end because he got hit a few times in the 2nd stage. Before that I was frustrated because I got to the last level and it came down to Lando vs Palp with Palp in RED and I STILL got waxed.

The BAD: Oh boy, where to I start? The difficulty level on tier 2 was SO tuned up that I literally gave up until I saw the strategy guide I referred to earlier. I completed it one the very last day. Tier 1 wasn't that hard. Tier 2 was out of this world crazy. It was probably the most difficult thing I've ever done in this game short of later Cantina nodes (The Maul one comes to mind) when you're under geared and under leveled. That's NOT to say that difficult is BAD, it's just the frustrating RNG aspect of it.
The UGLY: Overall I'd have to say the RNG factor of it. Some people completed it first try with 3*. Others like myself took what seemed like upmteen million tries just to beat it. The ugliness of that is that it was said to be for level 80's 7* with mods. My Rebels were all that INCLUDING full 5* Health mods with some swapped out for random speed arrows at 2 or 3*. It was kind of a slap in the face for us who farmed mods, farmed gear AND 5* mods including leveling those mods up to 15. It should not have been easy by any stretch of the imagination, but almost impossible was not what I was expecting especially when you dump that many resources into building your team just for this event (and others well, but I was so focused on this event). I could barely get Ackbar out of the Vader round and actually the 3rd round most of the time as well. I'm like "You have GOT to be kidding me" most of my attempts in Tier 2.
For those wondering, my roster I beat Tier 2 with is here: https://swgoh.gg/u/pac0naut/collection/

https://swgoh.gg/u/pac0naut/collection/admiral-ackbar/

There are some changes I could have made, like maxing mods on Biggs and putting a matching set to the random arrows that I didn't really think of before yesterday. Once I finished Tier 2, I had ZERO desire to try again.
FOR THE FUTURE: I expect the Endor Assault with Empire and Droids to be just as hard for Tier 2, so, get your Empire BEYOND ready. For the next Empire Assaulted, whenever that may be, from what I hear Hoth Rebel Scout with his stun and TM manipulation helps very well and someone on Reddit was saying a Luke Skywalker lead helps a bunch too but that's unconfirmed. Stuns apparently make your life easier in this event. You'll need speed, so if you have the mods, better flex them. The p2p characters make life easier, but it's still doable for f2p. Those that couldn't complete it this time around, now we all have a better understanding of what we need. Lando and Biggs are superstars at this event for f2p.
Again, thanks Cap for a terrific event. You, sir, are on FIRE lately with these.
