The only thing I'll disagree with here, is the scoundrel event. It's still their fault, but with this past week's dumpster fire, they've kinda had their hands full. I'm sure, ok I hope the event will return very soon. It should be daily, or every other day though. Maybe all the days we don't have the daily credits challenge?

They are more then minute tweaks. One mod I have on Rey adds 30 speed, 2,000 protection and is part of the set that increases her health by almost 2000. It took 500k credits to get to level 15 but it was well worth it. And there was literally nowhere else I could have spent those many credits to get that much of a boost.

The only reason for mods not to be worth it for a player is if they are weaker players with undeveloped teams. The whales that I face with Maxed out Rex, Sunfac, Anakin teams are dominant enough with these minutely affecting mods.

If you're competing for top 10 or 20 in Arena, you're either shard farming characters in order to get mod rewards, or developing mods. End of story. It's total garbage to claim otherwise.

I have to say I'm not expecting anything like an apology or compo for the recent con job and I've come to terms with that. I'll even keep laying as I still enjoy the game.

I find it interesting though that there are some who still think that the players are in some way responsible for acting on the information provided (ie the mod con).

Did they really raise the cost of mod level-ups along with the nerfs? If so, then consider yourself lucky. You got discounted mods. Am I the only one understanding that? If you didn't level up all those mods on day 1 and 2 and tried to do it now instead, it would cost you a lot more credits to do now (assuming the cost went up like I've seen people mention out here). Did you ultimately get what you thought what you were paying for? No. But in the long run, did you get those leveled up mods at a significantly lower cost than it would cost you to do now? Yeah.

Not sure if that evens out but as someone who was going to max out a ton of mods anyway, this really didn't change much for me. Other than feeling like it was a bait-and-switch kind of tactic by the devs and that feels a bit scummy.

smokeyjoe brings up a great point. cost of mod upgrades were raised so all the early spenders got discounts and have no rational reason to take issue. yes mods were more powerful, but there was never a promise that they wouldn't be nerfed, there was no con.

I think most agree that the effective power of mods now is correct, and their initial launch was too much.

I think most agree that the drop rate of mods (100%) was too high at launch, but their rate now (18%) is now too low, and it should be more like 50%.

So we're one-third of the way to the best solution to this new feature.

People complaining about how they spent a ton of credits on nerfed mods are being disingenuous. Mods are still useful, just not game-breaking. Those credits would have and still will be used on mods.

I spent a few million on mods and I'm still using those mods. But now, GW is doable, arena doesn't have teams that are built like Rancor Tier VII, and there are still incentives on using credits and energy on things other then mods.

This is the appropriate response that devs should have taken with precrafting. Hopefully we will see more responses like this in the future.

Disingenuous?? The point is people have spent money on mods before they were nerfed that, had they known what was to happen, would not have done. That's not being disingenuous,that's being screwed over. It's like buying a ticket to see a band and arriving to discover it's actually a tribute act.

your credits have been spent on the most useful thing in the game which still has most of it's utility. 90% is an exaggeration.

A good analogy is you can easily spend that much on one character who is op before he is nerfed and complain the shouldn't nerfed that character. In this case the feedback showed that there was obvious overwhelming support for them nerfing the mods. keep in mind the two most powerful mods have not benn released.

maybe the nerf was too severe, maybe they should have given more notice. although the fact that everything happened in a few days and they warned they would be making adjustments kind of makes that a moot point. Regardless your complaints are invalid. You choose to spend millions of credits on a feature of the game that was unfinalized and by any measure you received what is now still your credit's worth.

I have several (maybe 15) maxed out level 5 mods and don't have anything nearly as strong as that. My highest is +9 speed or maybe 400 health. Most are ridiculously low even maxed out. I guess you just got lucky.

Yes. We got lower prices for the mods. But I would not have spent real world money getting these. Nor would I have spent 7-8 million in game credits leveling them up if I'd known they'd be this craappy. End of story. It's total garbage to claim otherwise.

Seems to me like you rushed because you knew early sprinters would get an advantage like they did for the precrafting garbage, and you wanted it. Well you got the advantage it's just not as crazy advantages as precrafting was or you'd like it to be.
