Don't bother with this guy, he's got his mind set on not learning how to play. Everything is too difficult or too time-consuming or too complicated and everything sucks. You can't teach somebody who doesn't want to learn.
Fair, but it's still a dog **bleep** system.
There is an enormous amount of institutional knowledge, discord bots, and third party websites that a player can make use of to improve their mod roster efficiently. This guy just says "NO" to anything.
I got booted from the Discord for asking the same question everyone else did. I was accused of being a bot and ejected after multiple years of being there.
There is literally no learning curve for any other part of the game. It’s all very clear. “This does this and is better than this.” The mod system is crap. It isn’t like that. It involves a lot more time and a key to refer back to, in the very least. I can’t just ask someone, “Which mods should I use?” Because there isn’t a good answer.
I don't think you can learn modding, just like that. Also, I think theory changes. I mean I have hunches about where modding is going, which is against popular theory.
If you want to mod, just google it. "What mods for c3po swgoh.gg?" It will tell you about sets and primaries and what would be good for secondaries. You do that enough times and you'll start to see what you'll need a lot of. You can then farm for these, or look out for them in the mod shop.
Take small steps in remodding some of your characters and from that you'll learn things.
To be honest, looking at a new character that comes and knowing what to put on them....................isn't easy in most cases. I think most of us will go off of what other people are doing.
