Here is a little different perspective on HT: at first I didn't like it at all. I didn't think it ruined the meta, but it required a new strategy to beat. So I had a lot of fun creating new teams to beat HT(pre falcon. Post falcon is a different story)
Then I got a HT and started using it myself and I find that HT is actually a very balanced kit. It's role is to tank. And it tanks very well. So well that it becomes annoying to kill if you don't have a good strategy for it.
I think we are so used to being able to dispel or go around tanks in regular arena, that we forgot what a real tank should be like.
HT was never unbeatable. It doesn't have overpowered mechanics or broken synergy. It just required good strategy.
And then came the falcon. HT mixed with the falcon is just too powerful.
