Just not fair

How do you compete with people that are playing the game again who have over 9 million in Galactic power in Carbonite 4?   I mean it’s great people are playing the game again but for people who are newer we can’t move up.   Please release the lightspeed bundles again.   At least then we can have better chances to compete against players like this

  • An update with respect to matchmaking is way overdue but the evaluation of the GP won’t be the solution. It has to be a more elaborate concept to improve it.

See it from the positive side. At least you are not a victim of the squish algorithm. You might have been put into the Kraken territory at the top of Kyber 1. You would loose every single GA match for months until you drop to level that’s adequate for you. I have been facing two of them poor devils over the last couple of months and CG is killing every game experience for them. As most of the guys might be f2p and therefore not a major contributor to the monthly income of CG, fixing this issue has a very low priority.

I really really hate people trying to tack on their disparity in GP to what the OP is experiences.  If you think the 2 situations are similar or the same, you're clueless.

The OP is facing huge accounts due large accounts not playing.   Essentially, they've fallen down the ladder artificially.  The OP has to scratch concrete for a few points and their only hope of winning is that their opponent doesn't play.  This is not the spirit of the game or in anyway a competitive or fun match up.

What you are experiencing is, you've risen through the leagues and divisions until most of your opponents have  more developed rosters than you.  In this situation, either you swim or you sink to a league/division where you can compete.  The ladder system balances rosters that play and as you stated your games are competitive.  This is the spirit of the game.

What you won't get, is what you want.  Facing rosters of a similar size and winning 95% of your games.  Do you think most players that write on the forums aren't GAC savvy and generally experiencing similar?  Most of us face larger rosters most of the time.

For me, it’s the disparity between GP that’s disheartening, as I’m commonly against rosters with 3+ GLs and anywhere between 2 and 6 mil more GO than I. TBF, I’ve been doing pretty well recently, but still

I do agree with you that within any one division they could probably group people together better. But at the end of the day what most people like OP want as a "fair" matchup is one where they win the majority of the time. Especially at lower levels too the quality of 2 rosters with the same gp can vary wildly, so then people are going to start complaining that the gp is close but tje other person has more gls or zetas or omis or whatever.

  • It's a fair complaint though.  Winning or losing, probably isn't really a concern, as you'll win more than you'll lose in the lower leagues.  However, the quality of the experience makes it a chore, not a fun game to play.  This falls outside of 'the spirit of the game', in my opinion.  And the spirit of how something was designed, should be paramount.   If accounts are significantly larger than the average for the division, they should be grouped in a bracket together.  Let them 'not play' together.

If they actually start playing again, they will win these lopsided matches and move up and won't be matched with you.

If you keep playing, you will build your account, punch up where you can, move up in rankings and won't be seeing those semi-dormant accounts.

The solution in both cases is time. It's the solution for nearly everything in hero collector games.

Yeah but the problem is there are a lot of people like this playing again and for people starting off how do you build anything if you got 1.5 million compared to 8 million.
