Is there any point holding onto mod's that only sell for 9500 credits? I have loads of these, and never bother putting them on. Just assume the ones which are worth 97.5K are best.
Once you hit the mod cap, you will be selling them. The ones that sell for 97.5k are mods that you've leveled up for 300k+. - This is a game about mods. I’d start farming early and often to be honest.
At lot of people seem to overlook the importance of mods (mostly because they are the most boring thing to farm) "DarjeloSalas;c-1916690" wrote:

I think your advice is slightly off. Not many people would turn that mod down.
I never would have bought that Mod to start with. The 4 x speed you rolled on that, saved you from wasting 3+ million credits and the odds of that happening for others are ridiculously low.
Diamond mods are the most easily farmed mods in the game meaning their drop rate is among the highest when farming mods so it isn't a great idea to buy them. Triangles are by far the rarest in terms of drop rates so they are the best value in terms of buying mods from the store.
You might have to spend several 100's of points of mod energy just to see a single triangle mod drop. For diamond mods you have to do one or two battles and you'll have three to choose from..."Dar_Penthar;c-1918994" wrote:

You are missing context.
How good are your diamond mods? What's your credit situation? Was it for ship credits? What's your ship credit situation?
If I saw that for ship credits and it started +5 I would have bought it in a heartbeat. I'm sitting on nearly 30m in ship credits with nothing else to use them on and they keep building up if I don't buy a mod every so often.
There's a reason that people say mods are 100% luck are wrong..."TVF;c-1918997" wrote:

My context is in terms of being a new player with limited credits like the OP explained.
Being an end-game player I might buy that mod if I needed it and saw the +5 speed secondary as well, but I would never buy a diamond mod that did not already have a speed secondary on it, even being an end game player- Obviously it had a speed secondary so I don't see how that comment is relevant at all.
The new player with limited credits thing, I agree with. I missed which thread this was in. "Oberon1066;c-1918751" wrote:

The 5-dots with desirable stat combos are the best because 5-dot mods can be sliced.
Mod credit value is just based on dots & levels. Doesn't mean much.
Sell the mods you are not going to use, preferably before you invest too many credits in them, and use that money to upgrade the ones you are interested in."TVF;c-1919029" wrote:

How was it obvious? They sell grey mods in the store as well and they have no secondary stats on them at all. After all this is for a new player so don't assume anything... after all we all know what assume means- Because OP was already told:
4. It shows a Speed Secondary - Would’ve been the best mod I’ve ever seen with those secondaries, but no speed primary, so RIP
