You can get into 2 GLs (nearly) for something like $40 total (I think?) - that would be a pretty quick catch-up for an insanely good price
There are two character-only Lightspeed Bundles. They're USD $10 each. There's one ship bundle. That one is $30, but it's also a great deal. (Finalizer you have to earn through the event for SLKR, but at least you get to start earning it right away.)
Depending on your country, that's actually $50 total (IIRC). Most europeans don't get as good a deal, b/c I believe that the euro price is the same as the dollar price (i.e. not converted), so this is 50 euros, which after conversion is a bit worse than 50 USD. Other countries might get a better deal, but I don't know. (I've always thought it would be smart of CG to offer lower rates in countries with poorer economies but I don't know if they do that, and I don't even know for sure if the volume would make up for the margin loss.)
