How have they got it wrong? They were in K2, got demoted to K3 after 1 game of the Grand Arena. They're now in K3 getting K3 rewards but have 2 more matches vs K2 opponents. Seems to me it's exactly how fluffy stated it is.

That's not how it's been working. Are you just assuming or do you have personal experience this round?

Do you really think that players who got demoted will still receive the rewards of the division they got demoted from? What's the point of the demotion then? "That's not how it's been working" means absolutely nothing when this is the first round under the new rules

A season is 4 GAs, each of which are 3 rounds. It didn't happen during a round. It happened at the end of round 1 of the first GA. Working as described by CG.

You always changed SR after each round, so in round 2 and 3 your bracket would have a wide SR span. Since you're matched with players of similar win/loss rate within your bracket you're still matched with players of similar SR as you. The fact that other players in your bracket may be in different divisions doesn't affect your own match-ups. You get the exact same type of match-ups as you did with the previous system.

They get the exact same match-ups as they would under the old system (apart from the aspect of randomness that always was there)

I'm asking because I've seen empirical evidence from THIS GAC. Now, do you have anything to refute this, or just talking without knowing?

All 4 players that won in my bracket got demoted from A1 to A2 as did all those that lost.
After the crunch I was 2892 in A1 after a win I am 2934 in A2 (SR Range 2820-2940) so that looks like I'm in the correct place, so I assume that after the crunch i should have been A2 anyway but wasn't for some reason, as i didn't check what the SR range for A1 was before this first round.
Can anyone list the SR rating for each division for the current GAC ? I know there was a post about it but can't track it down and maybe out of date if the crunch changes the values
