Anybody who believes the matchups are anywhere near even must be in a guild where all guildies have 20 maxed out squads to use. My guild has been smoked in all 3 tw. Its not due to planning or lack of participants. Its due to the fact our depth pool is clearly outclassed by the enemy. My guild only has 8 cls, zero gk. But is close to 80mil gp. I'm at 2.1mil, but my roster is garbage. I might have 3 decent squads to throw together. Someone with that same points may have 10 maxed squads and there's nothing I can do about the quality of squads we've been matched against. So you can say you think it's fair or even. This.
Matchmaking needs to be based only on the gp of g9+ toons (ie the ones we've made combat effective). Tb forced us to bloat our rosters and gp with trash and even if a toon doesn't meet the 6k power threshold to be used it still counts for TW matchmaking. Matchmaking needs to better account for what % of the roster is made up of 7* trash you farmed for TB platoons and what % are the ones you can actually use in TW.
That would also prevent gaming the system to get matched up against guilds with similar gp on paper but with significantly less of that gp being made up of combat ready toons.
Yeah - someone had made a point from THE BEGINNING (sorry dude who did this, I don't remember thine name). If guild A has 20 12000 toons each player and guild b has 40 6000 toons each (and, clearly this delineation is never the case, it's just to showcase the point) these guilds have even GP - exactly even GP. But we KNOW from endless experience that the 6000 gp toons don't have a chance against the 12000 gp toons.
And never will.
Some guys are collectors. Some people went all in on TB/farmed for platoons... because it came first (and it's clear maybe TW should have come first... no?) some people messed up a lot and have a trail of toons that got over 6000 but were abandoned. In mid to low GP guilds - these people are their guilds.
So the mid and lower level guilds are messed up and the gigher GP guilds are all getting Ties. Seems legit.
TL:DR; Equal GP really doesn't mean equally capable in TW. Plus, these guild with bloated GP have no way to fix it.... which, ultimately, the biggest issue.
