Why hasn't baze been required somewhere his hard mode been around for a year or so.

You're way to hung up on time farmable. I think the falcon is a bit of a stretch but admit its possible so I'm farming it. Again we're just being realistic.

It's a good bet. Maybe Poe will be needed, too, but Poe is an easy farm and he's been there forever. The Vets are almost guaranteed based on CG's patterns in the past. If you don't want to spend crystals on them, that's reasonable, but they will be made farmable very close to the event, and so the community is putting two and two together and trying to help everyone out.

Just one example of toon anywhere near as hard to unlock as you are suggesting Rey will be?

Thrawn? We still dont know when the event will be or how long well have to farm anybody so you can't even talk on how hard itll be yet.

Thrawn? We still dont know when the event will be or how long well have to farm anybody so you can't even talk on how hard itll be yet.

You could unlock Thrawn without spending money the first time he came around. You had to pay attention to the drop locations, though, because a lot of people didn't know Ezra was farmable from Fleet shipments even though the announcement and the in-game message clearly said it. I didn't do it because I was farming...... Gosh, I can't remember what it was, sorry. But I was farming something else so I did the first three stages and then finished it off the second time it came around.

But for an average player, getting them to 5* was an obstacle, but something they could accomplish realistically with one Cantina refresh a day.

The Poe debate;
He had zero interaction with Rey, BUT, her journey would not have happened without him.
Idk, they could do it either way and I'd still say they made the right choice.

All we have to go on is what happened in the previous Hero’s Journey, and in that event, each tier was a scene that the protagonist was directly involved in or witnessed first hand. I can’t think of a scene from TFA where both Rey and Poe were directly involved. I would love if Poe was required rather than either of the vets, but it doesn’t seem as likely.

End game players largely care about 7* these days. And getting 7* Thrawn the first time around was the same deal as people are suggesting for Rey, except that it required 5 characters instead of 2.
