Web store login Question

No response on this one? Is it only us that has this issue?

It's how it is for everyone and I would not expect a response.

I assume they legally can't provide something like a tab with a link to their webstore, they have to use a storefront (App Store, Google Play, or any other) or make their own storefront like EA Origin (on PC) for mobile.

it is annoying tho and could be easily fixed. valid complaint

I personally think the web store is shameful. EA is trying to circumvent having to pay Apple and Google their cuts from the in game store. Without Apple and Android devices, and their provided app stores; there wouldn’t even be platform for a game. If you don’t want to pay Apple and Google what you agreed to when you developed the game and signed the paperwork, then maybe you should sell your own devices for players to play your game on rather than develop these shameful alternatives to avoid paying what you already agreed to pay.

The actual webstore is dumb yes, but preventing a middle-man to sell a product should be best for everyone since no one take their cut, but EA is a publisher, it doesn't sell physical product (only digital, EA Origin) directly to the final client.
They do not need to make their own device, just a storefront since Apple/Google doesn't forbid an alternative to their own storefront (App Store / Google Play), Samsung have their own storefront on Android and it would be against the law (antitrust). It is just a marketplace like any other (Steam, Epic Games, XBox, PS Store,...) since there is more in-app purchases on mobile, something has to be done to protect the consumer and prevent any shady transaction from shady apps.

This is just the security system they settled on. I imagine it is much cheaper to maintain than a system that has to securely keep your e-mail and password combo locked away from hackers.

Now they just let the email provider do all the security work.

I would guess this is a more secure system than a normal password one as well.

Im still gonna use google to buy, cause when they have 4x campaign, play points is worth it more than their ridiculous 5% on top. LOL
