What's the point in running a Dark (Empire) Team?

One of the main problems for me is... been playing since June, And my Vader is still at 11/100 for the 7* so it kinda makes it worthless for me to go for, and zetas..... well if there were more than 4 dark ships where the pilots were free to get 2 months ago, well, I'd have them, but still not going for zetas because I'm trying to get my executrix 5* so then I can start farming my 5* ships for the challenge, thankfully I'm a patient person ^_^
