Why all the "Vanilla" TW??

Because randomness and bonuses dont linenup with how whales spent their money. Its "not fair" to drop 300 bucks on a toon, and then it get beaten handily By an FTP.

Some of the buffs were cool, like Mace being a Sith killing machine. Others, like the Clones taking down anything not named Revan at G10, were just obnoxious and dumb.

The interesting thing is that the vanilla ones were not the original. There used to always be bonuses for FO and Resistance from the beginning, which makes sense as the current TW map is Jakku. Then they added some for bounty hunters. These bonuses were fine. Then they started adding all the random, changing OP ones. When they got rid of those, they swept the originals under the rug too.

These bonuses were the best. Nothing was too overpowered, just slight bumps. I’d love to see these brought back.

Lots of the bonuses were developers testing and playing around with future reworks. The clone one for example , basically was just toned down and applied to a new characters leadership

We need a Malak style TW (only Malak teams allowed)

TW would go much faster and result will be same

A combination of technical and balance issues with the bonuses and reworks inbound for a number of the units who had bonuses before.

That said, if your TWs are consistently being decided by Drevalak counts, talk to your guild and work on countermeasures. A few Grievous/T3 teams to break through Drevalak walls can definitely tip the scales in that case. And Kevan with Thrawn can, if not win outright, at least consistently land key kills on a Drevalak team.
