Why should i place defense in the new GA?

It is also a big assumption to think more than a few players check out the known bugs page until thry are reporting a problem

Let’s say you and your opponent both have 3 GLs. You put them all in a zone with the 4th slot empty. Your opponent do the same but put a team in the 4th slot. You both can’t clear the GLs zone. You get banners for winning against his non-GL team. Your opponent doesn’t as empty slots banners are only awarded if you clear the zone. Congrats, you win for not putting a team on D.

So to test this out i set only one team. My opponent got maximum banners, 1793 banners. So you are only awarded the points if you clear the zone.

This will forever be the thread that shows to me that CG does the minimum in terms of testing. This very question was asked several times in the dev Q&A. And because it was a high volume community question it got answered. But the answer was wrong. Clearly not intentionally false. But false nonetheless. This isn’t like testing a new kit on a complicated synergistic toon. This was just check the thing people were asking about beforehand by running one sim. Instead, we got a guess for an answer that was dead wrong.

That is true more for Kyber where people have counters for every GL there is. This strategy/issue likely has more impact in the lower leagues.

My opponent misunderstood the "exploit" and set one team total, then tried to claim it was done to "make fun of CG" because he's now quitting the game due to this "exploit."

People continue to be my favorite thing about this game.
