After Sims2 Legacy Update

Hi Everyone,

Having a few issues launching the sims2 legacy before the update but still was able to play. but today I tried to launch it and the black screen of death appeared And I contacted Ea and they told to go on the ea app and recover the game and clear my cache. I also tried to run the game as an administrator and that work before and not its just coming up with a black screen and telling me that windows could not start this screen saver. I Also have uninstalled the game and reinstalled the game many times as well as repairing and it has done the same thing with coming up with a black screen. EA has told i can not get a refund and directed me to here. Plz help really would like to play sims to again :(
