The Sims 2 Legacy 'This application has crashed' error message

Question

I'm currently having an issue of this error appearing, photo attached for reference. I first thought it was just my current save file being bugged from my sim being stuck on a vacation, but unfortunately has carried over to Create A Sim so I can't even start a new save!

Wondering if any else is having this issue? Before the patches rolled out I didn't have any problems.

I just got a new computer on Sunday, and I haven't been able to play the game since. I can load the game, and a neighborhood, but as soon as I try to create a sim or select a household to move in, the game crashes with the same error message.&nbsp; The game is completely unplayable. I put a ticket in to EA but haven't received any replies.
