TS2 Legacy recognizes own files as CC

I did a fresh install for the latest update and for some reason, the game is now recognizing some of its own files as CC. For the record, I have ZERO actual custom content installed. This is a completely vanilla installation.

When I play with CC disabled, it seems to run okay. However, if I enable these object files, the game starts popping constant errors and is unplayable.

Was this intentional as part of the update? Can I remove (delete) these objects.package files completely so I can add and enable CC later?
