- I don't enjoy styling my sims very much, so I try to do it as little as possible. My games tend to roll clothing (and hair) I don't like for my sims on their birthdays, which of course I fix, but after that I can't be bothered. So that would be one new outfit at teen and another at YA. I don't even change outfits for toddlers and children, since in a normal lifespan they're not going to be wearing the same clothes for very long. Elders usually stay in whatever the game rolls, unless it's that unbearable pair of overalls. And I only adjust things for teen boys if I really don't like what I see. Teen girls, on the other hand, will almost always get something new so they don't look like they were forced to select their wardrobes from grandma's closet.

I know exactly which pair you're talking about! They're so annoying; like half of the sims have them for at least one outfit!- Bettyboop558 years agoSeasoned AceI love putting together outfits so even the toddlers and children have 3. As a sim ages up I spend a few minutes sorting out their hair and wardrobe. Particularly important events like graduation, proms and weddings get special attention. What I am not likely to change is the decor and landscaping of the houses I build for them but that's something for another poll :)
I like changing outfits frequently. I get bored seeing them wear the same thing all the time. I use all my slots and because I have MC I can have extra slots which I do use at times. :) If I feel they have outgrown an outfit I make them something new.
I also change hair to go with the outfit. I generally leave makeup alone, unless I do something special for a formal outfit.- I will usually have a different everyday, formal and athletic outfit for winter if the town they live in has cold weather. Sometimes I will also have a second warm weather outfit for everyday and formal for my young adult and adult sims. If I get new clothing I will probably try it out on my current sim. So overall I don't change the clothing that much.
- My sims get 1 outfit when they age on their birthday. Very rarely do I change it once they hit YA. In fact, I don't remember ever changing one.
Their homes, on the other hand, change constantly. - It's not really the same outfit for their entire lives because they do have different outfits for the different life stages but close enough since they spend the longest time in the outfit for YA/Adult. I don't have Seasons installed so don't need to worry about dressing according to season. I don't like to change my sims' main outfit because I keep tabs on everyone in town and can generally recognize everyone, even from great distances, by their clothes.
- IreneSwift8 years agoSeasoned AceI'm not sure the answer I chose was actually the right one. I make outfits for the seasons, one for summer, one for winter, and one for spring and fall. Then they wear whichever one fits the time of year they're in. I only change them when they age up, if I get tired of them, or on rare occasions, if the outfit is glitched. And yes, that does happen with store clothing, not just CC. I'm playing an epic lifespan right now, so I might change my sims' outfits before they age up, but I really like what they're wearing, so I might not. I do usually give adults a new wardrobe and hairstyle too, instead of making them keep the same ones they had as young adults.
- Dreamerz138 years agoSeasoned HotshotI'll go with one outfit that I change when I feel like it.
For some sims that's fairly often. For others, it's never. - SkullBloodRed8 years agoSeasoned VeteranI used to have outfits I cycle through, but after my sims getting messed up I lost all the outfits and I'm too lazy to redo it or make new ones.
