This game doesn't want me to have a lvl 10 magician!

I had the same problem with my singer in Starlight Shores. Once she reached lvl 8 or 9 the game started having real problems.

There's a known issue with too many limos generating that will bog down the game. I have the mod Overwatch from Nraas and it deleted over 10,000 limos during it's 3 am cleanup! :o I had to get the mod Traffic from Nraas to keep the limos in check. Hope this helps.

Sure, have you ever installed CC in your game by the way of .package files? It's similar to that.

If not, and you don't have a mods folder, here's a link how to create a mods folder carls-sims-4-guide.com/forum/index.php?topic=9187.0 This has to be done first.

You'll need a 'zip' program like WinZip or 7zip. This is because the mods will be compressed when you download them. These programs "open" them up.

I would also suggest getting Overwatch and ErrorTrap. These have made a HUGE difference in my game. It is way more stable.

That's the basics that I know. If you have more questions, I know of players on the forums who are much more knowledgeable than myself. :)

It is not usually required to have a third party program to open zip files, that's why we use that format. Both Windows and the Mac OS can decompress them natively with right-clicks. The 7zip program is great (and free/open sourced), but it's required for rars and 7zs, it shouldn't be needed for zips. Winzip is not free and I believe is only really required for files with password protection.

But yes, this does sound like career limo breakage and the Traffic mod will fix it so that Overwatch doesn't have tens of thousands of unnecessary limos behind the scenes to clean up each night. Once the mod is installed, one setting needs to be changed from the default. On City Hall or an in-game computer, NRaas > Traffic > Routing > Allow Performance Career Limos > False.

How many EPs work well together and which ones come down to the strength of the system one is playing on. Many of us have no problems running all 11 EPs. The Patch 1.69 Origin generated warnings about using fewer EPs appear for everyone using Origin for Windows until we hit the button that says "Stop telling me this," it's not that our systems have been evaluated to generate that message. For those of us on strong enough systems, it is not necessary to limit the EP usage.

I'm sorry, but this is a known bug with the performance career limos and will affect many players even if Showtime is the only EP they have in play. That is why NRaas Traffic (and Overwatch) do what they do. There are similar bugs, although less prevalent, with snack and ice cream truck over-spawnage (LN and Pets respectively) that the mods also take care of.

Huh, I was wondering why my game had gone from removing 50 vehicles a night to 7,000. Stupid fancy pants career promotion!

It is only the Patch 1.69 Origin controlled Launcher with the Pack and Stuff selector tab that makes this suggestion. I am well aware of how it works and how/when the notification is generated. Edit: It's possible that you are not aware of this but, although of course I don't work for EA, the guidance and advice those of us from NRaas give is not based strictly on our own personal experiences. It comes from working with many players with different play styles and systems for many years both with and without mods. If that were to not be the case, I would always preface any advice given with "I can only speak for my game, but here is what I see..." or something like that.

Thank's for clarifying about the 'zip' programs @igazor :) I didn't know we didn't need an outside program to unzip stuff. I wonder where I read that we did? Well, I'm still a noob when it comes down to it. And, I think I meant Winrar instead of Winzip. :#

@Odonata68 - WinRAR isn't free either technically, but it usually allows you to use the trial version forever as long it's allowed to keep nagging you to buy a full license.

In much older operating systems there were no built in decompression tools for zips. So that would be the very earliest editions of Windows 98 and prior. On the Mac side, I believe built-in zip and unzip came along with OS X 10.3 (Panther) but there were other formats available before then just to confuse everyone. :)
