PCB82 Please make absolutely sure Generations is in fact loading when you play. Packs deselecting themselves is unfortunately a common occurrence. One easy way to tell whether Generations is present is to look for a baby stroller in Buy mode.
As for the game not working right, it happens, and I don't know why in this case, but you're really not missing much, just a day off from work and a moodlet for the new YA and the parents.
