It is strongly recommended that you restart the application.

When ever I try and launch my saved game and play it, it comes up with the issue 'Irwin Household.sims3' It is strongly recommended that you restart the application. I restart the game and try and play again but it keeps on coming up with the message. How do I try and resolve this issue? It never happened previously before this and I've had this game and for about 8 months.

    Can you launch your other saves? Does everything else work?

    Go to documents : electronicarts : sims 3 : saves and you'll see the name of your save ending in .sim3 and also another one ending in .sim3.backup

    1. rename the .sims3.backup to .sims3.xyz or something random
    2. rename the .sims3 to .sims3.backup
    3. Now rename the .sims3.xyz to .sims3
    4. Try play now

    Basically what that does is it restores a backup. Generally it's the only way to fix your issue.
