Need help downloading a store world

So I bought a store world and am trying to download it. My sims 3 was already logged on and connected with the sims 3 website on the launcher for context. So I go to the website and pull up my purchases so I can download it on the launcher and when I do, it prompts me to log in again which I do but then nothing happens and the log in window just pops back up. I know I have the right password so try a couple more times and it still just keeps popping up and so I try to change my password and that does not work either. I try to click the welcome option on the launcher and it just says "This website cannot display the page". I tried logging out on the launcher to log back in and that doesn't do anything either. I had no issues with anything before starting all of this and I am worried I may have done something wrong? I have tried so many times now that when I click download on the website it has a pop up window telling me things I should try and that it will be duplicated in the launcher (it's not, it isn't showing up there at all). I also tried FireFox and that didn't change anything. When I exited out of the launcher it said it would disrupt the uploading process but it isn't uploading anything! Just getting a little worried I won't be able to use this thing I paid for and of course when I try the EA chat thingy they say "just log in or change your password" like I haven't literally been trying that! I did purchase it through the EA app for Steam but I checked the EA website before doing so and everything I read said that was fine. I also have had no issues downloading stuff from the site previously. When I bought all the expansion packs, and they came with some DLC items, those all downloaded no problem. Did I break something or is the website just not connecting properly right now? Please help!

  • broodyruby  If your password has special characters in it, please remove those so it only contains letters and numbers.

Either way, please rename the Sims 3 folder in Documents > Electronic Arts so that a new folder spawns the next time you open the launcher.  This will prevent the game from reading your saves and other user data, but everything will be intact and can be restored later.  This is just a test.

Please also clear Edge's Internet Explorer-mode data, as described towards the end of this article:

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-edge/view-and-delete-browser-history-in-microsoft-edge-00cf7943-a9e1-975a-a33d-ac10ce454ca4

Continue to use Firefox, but try to download the world from its product page, if it's showing as owned there, rather than from your purchase history.  If you get the login pop-up, refresh the page rather than trying to login, which shouldn't be necessary.

And if you use a VPN, please disable it while testing.

If none of this helps, let me know what kind of install this is—EA App or Steam—and if Steam, whether the base game product code from Steam is registered to your EA account.  It sounds like it is, but I'm asking in case you bought the game from Steam at some later point.

You can ignore the message about the uploading process still running.  It's irrelevant and due to something EA changed on the server side years ago; it doesn't cause any harm.

Hey - same issue here.  I bought Dragon World gold and Roaring Heights gold.  Neither will download.  And I keep getting the same pop up login box.  I even changed my password and it won't accept it.  I've done all the steps that the tech's advised and nothing worked.  I did your suggestion above, still nothing.   I can not bypass the login box at all.  I can try over and over to login or just hit cancel.  I don't know what else to do.
