Sims 3 Launch not downloading store bought items??

Omg, so I play the sims 3 on my Mac and I have been doing some research to resolve this issue. I have done everything and nothing is working. I’m frustrated because I miss playing the sims and I have...

iBriee  What happens when you try to download the content?  If you get an error message, please post a screenshot or write out the entire message.

I don't know what you've tried already, but I do have a suggestion if you want to be as thorough as possible:

  • Create a new admin user account on your Mac, and don't link it to your Apple ID
  • Open the EA App and repair the game (Sims 3 > Manage > Repair)
  • Open the Sims 3 launcher
  • Download Firefox if you don't already have it, and use it to download one Store item, specifically from its product page
  • If you get a "you don't own this item" message, refresh the page a couple times and try again
  • If the item downloads, try to install it


Let me know whether this works.  Some Mac users have an issue with Store stuff that hasn't been resolved even now, but not everyone is affected.

Hi, whenever I try to download my store bought items using the sims 3 launcher I get an error message that says “Your item failed to download.”

I will try this and see if it works and keep you updated. Thank you so much for your help.
