taytaylewlew11 What version of macOS are you running? And in the new admin account, can you load Sunset Valley? If not, please move the Sims 3 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto the desktop, or delete it if it doesn't have any content you want to save, and try again.
If this doesn't help either, try playing while offline. You can sign into the EA App and put it in offline mode, then disable wifi before pressing Play.
Please also plug in your Mac while you're trying to play.
katanna314 Please list the full specs of your Mac: everything under About This Mac including the OS and except for the serial number. Please also post a photo of the overlay, for reference, and let me know whether it happens if you put the game into windowed mode.
