Witch Sim can't cast charms and spells

My Witch Sim can't cast charms or spells, only conjure apples.  I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, clearing my cache, disabling and reenabling the supernatural pack, resetting my sim, using "Testingcheatsenabled true" to make sure she's a witch, repairing the game through EA, running the EA app as an administrator, and creating a new save file.  I do not have any custom content or mods installed.  Please help, I would really like to be able to play my game.
