- @roseiasingma are you using DX11 or DX9 ? You can check on the lower right corner of the main menu.,
If you are using DX11, could you try switching to DX9 in your game options ? - roseiasingma10 months agoRising Novice

- crinrict9 months agoHero+@roseiasingma Could you try updating your Nvidia graphics drivers. Yours are a bit dated.
- roseiasingma9 months agoRising Novice@crinrict updating my drivers worked and i could see it
- crinrict9 months agoHero+@roseiasingma Glad to hear.
As recommended, I updated my graphics card driver. But the problem with the invisible bookshelf persists. The problem also affects other objects in my game:
-Barnelwood Shower
-EZ Shower (came with the EP University)
All 3 objects appear when placed outside of buildings.
I have the newest graphic drivers, I tried updating all my drivers anyway just in case but it hasn't made a difference.
@Sweetie_EF Please post a dxdiag.

@HPathbp16 Please post a new dxdiag, and also try switching to DirectX 11 mode, as described here:

Here is my dxdiag
@Sweetie_EF Please try using DirectX 11 mode rather than DX9, which is what I believe you're using given the game's default behavior. But you can check at the Main Menu: the DX mode will show in the lower-right corner, after the version number.
There are two ways to do switch to DX11. One is through the Nvidia Control Panel. Right-click the desktop, select the CP, then Manage 3D Settings > Global settings, and choose the high-perfornance Nvidia processor rather than auto-select.
If you don't want to use this method, open the EA App game library, click Sims 4 > Manage > View properties, and add -dx11 to the command line box.
Either way, confirm the game is using DX11 mode at the Main Menu, then see whether the problems are still present.
If you're actually already using DX11, switch to DX9 instead, just as a test. The -dx9 command line argument would work, as would checking the box in graphics options (if it's there) for DX9 mode, to the right of post processing.
When I place the “Mortimer’s Secrets Bookcase” it’s not actually there. I can highlight the item as if it is there and use it as if it is there but the item is not there. The item shows up outside but not inside the builds. (Walls are on tall wall height.)
