An idea for a new world- Scottish Island based

With the relaunch of the Sims 2 it reminded me of when CAS had kilts being from Scotland I always appreciated this nod and used the outfits a lot in gameplay. It then reminded me of a few years ago when one of the surveys put out had a Scottish based world as an option.

Location-

I'm from Orkney which is an island group in the North of Scotland and as there is a tropical island world in island living it would- in my opinion be cool for a non tropical one.

Occults and lore-

We have many legendary tales of trolls, fairies, giants, sea creatures like selkies etc. Which could be an interesting avenue to explore.

Hobbies-

We are also a heavily musical and artistic community so that would also fit in well with the game. With possibilities of adding some new songs that sims could sing and play we hold a really popular folk festival annually so this could be incorporated. A unique thing some people do is dive the numerous shipwrecks around and wild swimming has grown incredibly popular.

Style, image and traditions

Not only that but there is also a heavily nordic link and that would add an extra layer to it in the world that could be created. Which all plays a part in our various traditions that happen for many different celebrations and changes throughout the year some being The Ba, Blackenings, The bridal cog, and the festival of the horse. We have lots of unique sites like the Ring of Brodgar (older than stonehenge) The St Magnus Cathedral that dominates the skyline, the Bishop and Earls Palaces, The Old Man of Hoy and Skara Brae to name a few locations to be inspired by.

Career-

Two of the main industries are farming and fishing now obviously you can do these things in the game already but more could be done with fishing as a career but also we have been and are an incredibly important archaeological location in the world due to our long and rich history.

I think it definitely would be worth a consideration by the Sims team and would bring something a bit different to the game plus it would mean I get to create a bit more of a realistic version of what home is.
