Multiple Businesses on 1 Commercial Lot

It would be great to see small business lots become more flexible and community-focused. Instead of one large business occupying an entire commercial lot, lots could function more like real-life Main Streets, where multiple households with small businesses share the same property under one owner or landlord (similar to the For Rent system). Each storefront or unit could be rented individually, creating opportunities for more creativity, variety, and realistic town development.

I know individuals from one household can each run a small business already, but it still doesn’t create the same feeling or realism as having multiple independently owned businesses operating within one shared commercial space. While only one business may be actively operated at a time, simply having multiple storefronts and businesses exist together on one lot would make neighborhoods feel far more alive, dynamic, and authentic to how real local shopping districts work.
