Suggestion: Stuff Pack for Selling Furniture in The Sims

i have an idea based on this

can we have a stuff pack where we can sell furnitures? and maybe as for basegame update to like fix broken furnitures so we can spare the money?
(honestly i wish they have done this in the "Get To Work" pack)

if not mistaken The Sims 2 had them you was able to sell furnitures ("Open For Business" pack)

i'm so happy if we get THIS in a stuff pack in the future

i used my simself for certain challenges to earn money without a career, no computers, no phones etcetera
and that's how i came up with an idea (i use the dumpster from "Eco Lifestyle" to look for certain things especially furnitures)

it will be just like Home Chef Hustle but in a furnitures version of it you can sell and earn money from it

what do you guys think about this idea?

  • @sailorleontine You can do something a bit like this with Eco Lifestyle and Get to Work. My Sim fabricates one of each item using the dyes, etc. I save them to my library in a room and use that to copy them and stock a retail lot. I found it takes 2 stores to sell everything because that's a lot of furniture and items, especially with a few of each item. So I have them divided into a furniture store and a patio furniture and lighting store. Both are in the Gallery.

It was a lot of work, I used the library trick to copy the rare Grim and Houndstooth dyes too. Now, when my Sims are getting a new home they can head to "Keiko" to buy their furniture. Meanwhile poor Keiko is exhausted but very successful lol. She has a little trailer on one of the retail lots where she stays over when fabricating.

It's one of the most fun things I've done with the game.

@sailorleontine I'm attaching some images of my furniture stores. I used some of the furniture and things I found in dumpsters to get the bits and pieces needed for fabrication by putting them in the Gundtach Home Recycler. I keep dumpsters on the lot too so there's always a way to find stuff especially after meals if a Sim throws out food. I get them to buy vending machine food and throw it out when I want more trash to dive in!

  • i think i've come up with an idea with the aspiration

i don't know the tittle of the aspiration one yet but it's in the money category
maybe a "running the furniture shop/market" or something should do the trick
it sure needs to come with a aspiration based on my ideas

@simsplayer818 i haven't even thought of that but i'll keep that in mind incase i'm doing other challenges or something
once i'm done with a certain challenge, i'll keep some of the furniture my simself have found in the dumpster but i think
most of them i'm gonna sell it to others by like running a shop like you've suggested and i'll use eco lifestyle a bit more too

  • i still want a stuff pack based on this but i have a perfect idea for this

what if a venue type get added called "run a business?" meaning you can work AND live in 1 lot
(your home is just above your work)

i had a friend who lives just above the supermarket, i came up with it for a little while now and i'd like to share it here 🙂

    what do you think?

  • update: out of all my ideas, only the lot type will comes out!

i was hoping it was gonna be in the "Businesses And Hobbies" trailer once i heard about this upcoming Expansion Pack
oh well maybe in the (near) future? i still think it match Stuff Packs the best unless they can match with other Expansion Pack

i still want the same money aspiration "running the furniture shop/market" category for this pack!
i won't give up for this pack idea!
