Trick or Treating and Costumes

With Halloween right around the corner, and with All Hallow's Even currently running in my game, I have a couple of suggestions.

Could we please have a few more costume options for kids? As of right now, my male!boys only get to be Master Yoda or a sausage. However, in CAS there are so many other options for costumes. A skeleton outfit, pirates, fairies, etc. Why can't we have more costumes or have the ability to create our own costumes from CAS? (Like a Homemade costume, as opposed to store-bought?)

Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but I could have sworn during the early years of Sims 4, during All Hallow's Eve, my kids could go door-to-door trick-or-treating on their street. What happened to that?

Now, all my kids get is to dress-up, but they have to stay at home and watch as other kids get to come get candy from them. Where's the fun in that?

Can we please have the ability to send out kiddos out into the streets, begging for a pillowcase worth of sugar only to end up with a sugar high long enough to last three days and the threat of cavities? (Wow, am I reminded of my childhood. 😆)

Anyway, just a couple ideas if it's not too much trouble.

Happy Halloween, everyone!

  • It hurts my brain AND my feelings that the costumes that came with the Spooky Stuff Pack show up randomly on Trick-or-Treaters, yet these are not available to our active Sims under the "Wear costume..." holiday activity.  If this was an oversight, why not fix it?  If it was intentional, WHY?  I want more choices than career uniforms or Star Wars characters.  When Deathfest comes around, I'll have my Sim put on one of the lame costumes just to satisfy the holiday goal, then immediately change them into the respectable costume I've designed for them in the Party outfit category.

  • Yes! I totally agree. I want better Halloween costumes for kids and toddlers and also the ability to go trick or treating.

I have seasons and you cannot send your kids trick or treating, the tradition just sends other people to your house to trick or treat and the ask for treat option during spooky day parties doesn't actually put a treat in your sims inventory.

The game gets so close to giving me options for a proper Halloween without actually giving me one.

  • A costume outfit category is long overdue, and they could ditch the useless party outfit category while at it.
