I think part of the problem is framing.
"It took them 10 years to..."
I mean, it didn't. It took them a while, I'm sure, because making video games is hard work- they concept out features, they figure what's feasible and what isn't, they decide how to handle them, they have to design and develop the visual elements, etc etc etc...but saying "It took them 10 years" makes it sound like since 2014 they were struggling to figure out how to add burglars.
The fact is, they simply didn't consider them a priority. That's a different thing than "It took them 10 years".
(It's also weird you cite the tintaverse video showing that the Sims 4 burglars are- as many Sims 4 versions of features are- better than the earlier games by a wide margin, but then use it as evidence they didn't do a good enough job...)
And then you go on to say "The base game isn't worth money". My dude, it's been free fo- oh, you know it's free. But you're still...commenting on its value as a paid product. Which is isn't. So...who...cares? Why does that factor in at all?
You'll enjoy the game a LOT more if you look at it genuinely and with honesty and respect instead of going into it wanting to be upset so badly that you are upset about situations that don't exist.
i bet this person who shared its opinion is very much aware the game isn't perfect and that it may take years untill things gets added (especially Expansion Packs) and some stuff is difficult to add
you make it sounds like everything is all negative about The Sims 4 based on how you respond to this person but i feel the exact opposite around with this post, this person mentions what they did right, what it's missing and what they could do better, i think it's a normal thing to mention it in this post so this person keeps it neutral...i saw lots of comments about how bad The Sims 4 is and such which actually annoys me (someone else made a post about negative comments on YouTube on this website) so this post isn't actually too negative in my honest opinion
as for the basegame itself, i get what this person means, it have so little options, so little venue types you can choose from and so little things you can explore around and lesser skills with only basegame too, it's good for a starter but if you want something more then yes it will get bored if you only have the basegame of it once you get used to The Sims 4, we all know the basegame is free nowadays
the person who shared its opinions isn't upset, this person have a every right to share its opinions without being too negative over it and i believe this person did a good job at it, i also try to keep things neutral but i couldn't have worded it better like this person did though
