All my sims are spontaneously burning for absolutely no reason.

Lately all of my sims and the townies are randomly burnt. There was no fire anywhere. No bad weather. My sims were inside when it happened. It was like poof and they were magically burnt. I’ve bathed my sims toddler three times now and it still will not come off. No appliances in their house appear to be burnt or broken. 
What’s happening? Is my game broken? Is there anyway to fix this???

    Move your Mods folder to the Desktop and delete localthumbcache.package. Then test the game in a new save.
    If it works now check for updates to your Mods and CC. Add it back a little at a time while testing until you have found all that are broken.
