Please try all suggestions on the first post. I've tried the new updated fixes, but none worked. At least for me, I'm unsure if its the firewall at this point.
For experimentation, I tried getting onto the gallery on my laptop. Worked just fine. Same internet, same firewall settings. Only thing that hasn't happened to it yet is a particular windows 10 update. I'm not entirely convinced this bug happened due to an OS update though, as my sims game was working fine before I updated to Snowy Escape. Though I tried just uninstalling Snowy Escape itself, and that didn't work either. So, if it's not the firewall, or the ransomware, OR the OS, what could it possibly be other than something in the update?
Trying more tweaks to see if I find a solution. (There's a new scheduled update for the OS, so I'll see if that does anything.)- @crinrict Tried all of those suggestions as well. Nothing seems to work. I'm convinced the New Pack is the reason for my issue as well.

I have tried much like my fellow simmers all of the troubleshooting steps and nothing is working. I really would love to buy some dlcs to expand my sims 4 experience but given the fact that the issue has not yet been resolved, I am reluctant. I have been very patient and understanding on all of this thus far, and I have had to deal with this issue for almost two weeks. I am at the point where I feel like I may never be capable of using the gallery ever again. On a personal note, I love my sims 4 games it has been a great escape for me since my mom tested positive with covid-19 all I am humbly asking is that it please be fixed so that I and my fellow simmers can enjoy our sims experience.
Updated the OS. Unfortunately still the same problem. I wasn't expecting much of a change to happen with an OS update, but you never know sometimes. I'm going to test the firewall one last time. See if that does anything. I'll update on the progress.
I have been having the exact same issue for the past week and tried majority of the trouble shooting options. I was finally able to get my gallery working in game by running a clean windows boot, that was recommended by EA tech support https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/929135/how-to-perform-a-clean-boot-in-windows
I really hope this works for you! Best of Luck!
I have done everything that was in THE FIRST POST. Still, it isn't working. What I don't get is that my Desktop works but My LAPTOP doesn't. Not everyone uses desktops now and days. It must be something on the LAPTOP when it comes to SIMS 4. I didn't have issues until I downloaded Snow Escape.

Thanks for the info @crinrict
Hello! I just updated my 2015 13" MacBook Pro to Big Sur yesterday and now my game won't connect to the internet so I can access the gallery. The game starts up fine, but when the "Attempting to Connect..." box comes up and I click "Connect" it loads continuously, but won't actually do anything. Any ideas??
