buggy after updating to macOS Tahoe 26.0

Hi everyone,

I've been running into a couple of strange issues while playing The Sims 4, and I’m wondering if anyone else has experienced the same thing.

  1. Mouse clicking issue:
When I’m in Build Mode, my mouse seems to misclick or register multiple things at once. For example, when I try to click the “Upstairs” or “Downstairs” button, it doesn’t just switch floors — it also acts as if I’ve clicked on something behind that button (like the floor), and it opens the action menu asking what I want to do next. It’s like the click is going through the UI.
  2. Sims dying from “heat” when it’s not hot:
This one is really weird. In the new DLC Adventure Awaits, I took my Sims on the fitness vacation. Suddenly, I get a notification saying it’s extremely hot outside and that my Sims could die from the heat. It tells me to send them indoors or switch to hot-weather clothes — which I do. But even when they’re inside, in a warm (not hot) temperature, they still overheat and die.
Nothing seems to bring them back — not magic, not MCCC, nothing. It’s like they’re permanently gone.

Has anyone else had this happen? Is there a fix or workaround for either of these issues?

Thanks in advance for any help!

I tried what you told me to, but the problem remained. my sims still felt overheated and I had to use mccc to remove his overheating buff.

Another super weird thing — my Sims can’t shower next to each other. And by “next to each other,” I mean in neighboring rooms.

For example, if one Sim is taking a shower in the bathroom and another Sim is standing just outside (like right next to the bathroom wall), the Sim in the shower suddenly gets embarrassed, as if they’re being watched. But that doesn’t make sense because the other Sim is outside the bathroom!

It’s like they can somehow “see” through the walls or something.
