Can't create a case

@EA_Lanna Anything. I do a lot of clutter in my builds so being able to move tings where I want is really nice. I can't freeley move objects like a couch or refrigerator either

I understand and thanks for sharing more about what you're having trouble moving. For things like surfaces (your desks, tables, etc.), there's a trick to it: could you try placing the clutter on the ground, raising it to the level of the surface, placing the surface under the clutter and making sure 'moveobjects' is active? That might help with moving items to those.

For things like fridges, they may snap into place next to a counter even when holding the 'alt' key. The couch though...could you try to place a chair or some other kind of freestanding object in an empty room or even outside, hold 'alt', and see if you can free place? 

Also, is the issue with free placing or free rotate?

@EA_Lanna I've tried the trick you mentioned. And I know moveobjects must be on as well as holding the alt key. I can't place anything freely. It won't freely rotate either. It doesn't matter what objects I'm trying to place. Nothing works

I wonder... when I've run into issues with the shortcuts not working before, it was because I had turned on 'game mode' on my keyboard. Something similar might have happened here too.

Just in case, let's test to see if the ALT key button is registering when you select it. Could you try 'Alt' + 'Tab' to see if it lets you toggle between web pages?

@EA_Lanna The tab key alone toggles between pages but the alt key does nothing

Since the Alt key doesn't seem to be registering outside the game, it might be the key itself causing the issue. Here are a couple of suggestions that might help:

1. Check for Debris: Sometimes dust or small debris can get trapped under the keys. Gently cleaning around the key might help.
2. Keyboard Settings: Make sure that the Alt key hasn't been disabled in your keyboard settings. You can check this in the control panel or system settings of your computer.
