cant pay bills 2024

Hello! Im having an issue with a household in my game. So far it seems to only be an issue with one household in my legacy save. My adult sims go to pay the bills, using any of the ways( cellphone, computer or mailbox) and once they complete the action, no money is deducted, and the bill option/outstanding balance is still there. 

Things I've Tried:

- trying a different adult to pay bills

-moving household to a different lot - bill amount stays the same + same issue

- taking out mods folder/ disabling mods --> this did not change the issue

-Repairing game 

-Resetting the sim manually 

None of these work. I've just been playing other households, but I would really love to get this fixed as I spent a lot of time on this household! Any help would be awesome. Thanks!
