Can't place any roofs

Hi everyone,

I downloaded a house from the gallary. But then I added an extra room, not attachted to the main house (sort of a garage), and now it won't let me put the roof on that room. It stays on the floor and goes through the room. 

I tried adding a premade room from the gallery, tried to copy a room from the excisting house but nothing works... 

I've also tried to bulldoze the place and add it again or place it on another lot, but nothing works... 

Does anyone know how this can be fixed?

P.S. I am sorry my English isn't perfect. I am orginally dutch so I am doing my best.

    Can you show the situation with a screenshot? It could well be that the house you downloaded is made with the cheat Moveobjects on (MOO) So may be you can try to place this extra room (garage) using this cheat. If not please check out if the basement causes any problems or if the room you wanted to attach is completely closed. (has a ceiling).
