Can't Study Magical Tomes

How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)

What is your current game version number? Don't know, but I have repaired the game, and it doesn't need any upgrades.

What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Expansions: Discover University, Island Living, City Living, Get Together. Game Packs: Realm of Magic, Parenthood, Vampires. Stuff Packs: Toddlers, Fitness, Kids Room, Spooky Stuff,

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? 1. Have a Spellcaster Sim 2. Obtain a spell tome (either for spells or potions) 3. Left-click on the tome (can be done in the world or in Sim's inventory) 4. There will be no option to study the tome Additionally: 5. Move tome into a bookshelf 6. Left-click on the bookshelf, select "Study Magical Tome..." 7. None of the tomes in the list will be selectable, all will be greyed out.

What happens when the bug occurs? Spell tomes cannot be studied to learn new spells.

What do you expect to see? When selecting a tome individually, there should be a Study Tome option, and tomes should also be selectable for study from the bookshelf menu. If I recall, the option should be present regardless of whether the spellcaster is of a sufficient level to learn the spell, presenting a popup message mid-reading if the spell is too complex for their current level.

Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? No

Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Maybe, have had an upgrade, but don't remember the timing of it. Something I can think of tho, I could study the tomes with my first magical family, the bug happend after their first daughter moved out. Could be a coincidance, but something I noticed.
