Since the latest patch update my Sims have become strangely obsessed with playing card games. This will happen even when they are in the middle of eating. They will suddenly leave their plates unfinished and go to play a card game. When I try to stop them and send them back to finish their food it just gives the option for them to clean up. So, they have to go back to the fridge and get a new serving, but then the whole card game thing starts all over again. I checked the few mods I have and have all of them up to date.Is anyone else having this problem?Also, out of nowhere one of my Sims never stays asleep. It just started tonight somewhere in the middle of my playing session. I send her to bed, and just a few seconds later she is up again. She does not have the Never Weary Trait, but her daughter does. Either way, I got fed up and decided not to care about it for the rest of the playing session.

As soon as they get a whim to wake up sim the sim will get up and stand by the bed waiting for the pet to arrive and "wake" them. It does not happen like that every time though. Other annoying waiting for Sim situations include Child/wants to hug sim that is eating. Sim gets up plate in hand waiting for child to arrive gets the hug and can finally continue eating. The most annoying is as a Vampire coming home from work Toddler climbs down stairs to greet sim that stands in the sun burning to death. For that reason if I play Vampires toddlers are immediately aged up to child.

Please temporarily remove all Mods and CC see if that fixes it.
Your second issue is generally caused by one of these:
Radio being on.
TV being on
Pets waking sims.

Pets do not need to be in the same room. As soon as they get a whim to wake up sim the sim will get up and stand by the bed waiting for the pet to arrive and "wake" them. djlolin... ah, then that means this likely IS a bug. Using testingcheats isn't a mod or CC.

Nope, I don't have all the packs/stuff or even all of the expansions, so no wind chimes available in my game. Yeah, as said, I thought the pet possibility, so I carefully watched the problematic Sim... there was no "be woken up" in the queue. I'd even click on pet interaction to see if the "scold for waking up" thing would show. It isn't the pet. What I did find a bit afterwards, was if I made the daughter leave the house, the Sim who wouldn't sleep would get sleep while she was away all night.

Is the daughter a child ? if so and she has a bad dream she will wake up an adult. A night lamp will cure this.

No, the daughter is no longer a child. She is old enough to leave and spend the entire night outside the house to do things. I often take her out fishing or to a library while checking on members still at home via their stats.

Yeah, they have shared a bedroom the entire game because they started out in a house with one bedroom. The mother and now the daughter are saving up to buy a better home where they can someday have two bedrooms as well as get a TV and a dishwasher. XD
