Cook Food daily task percent raise is very slow

Is this a bug? Or did they just raise the difficulty level for daily work tasks without me knowing? 
My sim is a "pastry chef" and in trying to meet her daily cooking task, is taking 6-10 completed meals to reach 100% 
A single finished meal registers as "just started" 2 usually is 25%, then it doesn't raise to 50% until the 4th meal cooked, it's inexact but usually she doubles that to get to 100% 

Family Meal, Grand Meal, Single Serving, Baking, Gourmet Cooking, special recipes from City Living, all doesn't seem to matter. The slow percent persists 

I might not mind a harder version of the Sims4, but this doesn't seem like intended difficulty?
Atm this is Eating her day (haha!) okay but puns aside this seems like a little too much. Maybe 4 fully cooked dishes should suffice
