I play on my PlayStation 5 and the new event is not letting me claim anything. On the home event screen it says next reward in 4 days 19 hours and then on the gameplay screen it says please wait and try again as the gnomes try to fix the failure. Is anyone else having this same issue? I’ve been waiting and have been sooo excited for this event to come out 😭 Anything helps!!

Have EA fixed this yet? Or told us how to fix it? I'm on Mac not PS5. Never had an issue with events before this :(
Hi, I have had this issue myself but have found a way to resolve it for the PS4. If you go to settings - storage - system storage - saved data - the sims 4 then find user data press options then delete the user data only.
After deletion of user data when you open the sims back up you will need to reagree to the t&cs but the event should be working and any saved games still present.

Hi thank you for your help it seems like a local network issue I just switched to my mobile hotspot and everything worked perfectly and then I switched back to my home Wi-fi and the problem was gone as well. Anyway the issue was resolved. Thank you again for your support!

When I am in game it does not let me click on the mask in the top left to open the event menu in order to claim the rewards. When on the main menu, if I click on the reward pop up it does bring the event menu up but everything is locked and I can not click on anything.
Before downloading the new packs it was all working fine and I had claimed every reward for this week. They are now all showing as locked as if I never claimed and will not let me click on any of the items to try unlock them. Please advise.

I am also having this trouble on PS5. I saw the "gnomes trying to fix" message in-game, and on home screen under the event tab, it says I have 3/3 logins, next reward in 2D 2H, but all the rewards show as locked, including week 1.
There was one day where I was able to claim items for week 1 after logging into the EA website on my computer, then relaunching the game on console. Now the 1st 4 items show up in build/buy but still show as locked on the event page. I have not been able to claim the fountain, the last item for the 1st week, and it does not show up in build/buy. I tried signing out and back into the EA website on the computer and relaunching the game on console again, but that didn't change anything.
I had also tried checking under Game Options: Other to make sure the console is connected to my EA account, as that was an issue with a prior login event; but it's set to Auto-Reconnect, and there's no new terms & conditions to agree to, so... Short of deleting and re-downloading the game to my console, I've done the troubleshooting I can think of...
I have no idea if it's related or just a coincidence with the last update, but my game is also now listing every non-base-game item as new, even though I've had most of these packs for years. 🙃
to be sure you have this issue and not the other: When you hover over the event icon in the game, do you get a Gnomes trying to fix message ?
I have the same issue…and on the Home screen it says I have checked in 3/3 days but all of the items are still locked…
